Spain’s

national feast days are identical each year, although national public

holidays may change based on if the feast day falls on the Sunday or otherwise. Also,

each Autonomous Community might also choose either Father’s Day (March 19th) or Easter time

the Autonomous Community of Madrid celebrates around the second of May.

city features its own feast days to commemorate its patron Saints. Within the town of Madrid these

are 15th May (San Isidro) and ninth November (Almudena), even though the holidays might be

    Hispanidad)

  • November 1 – All Saints Day (national, falls on the Sunday in 2015)
  • November 9 – Almudena (Madrid’s female patron saint – Madrid capital only)
  • December 6 – Metabolic rate Day (Día en Constitución Española, falls on the Sunday in 2015)
  • December 8 – Feast from the Immaculate Conception (La Inmaculada Concepción, national)
  • December 25 –

    Xmas Day (Natividad del Señor, national)

    • On public holidays, all shops and banks are
